Sugavive MV1 is a combination, used for the treat with type 2 diabetes when diet, exercise, and standard dual therapy are not enough to achieve glycemic target. Like the 2mg/0.2mg variant, it tackles the three core defects of type 2 diabetes but with a specific dosage shift that changes its clinical profile: Glimepiride (1mg): A sulfonylurea. This is a lower starting dose, which gently stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin while keeping the risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) minimal. Metformin SR (500mg): A biguanide in Sustained Release. It tackles fasting blood sugars by reducing glucose production in the liver and improving muscle sensitivity to insulin, with fewer gastrointestinal side effects. Voglibose (0.3mg): An alpha-glucosidase inhibitor. This higher dose provides stronger, more aggressive blunting of post-meal blood sugar spikes by delaying the absorption of complex carbohydrates in the intestine.
